DIRECTIONS TO DOWN HOUSE:
BY CAR
Take the A21 to the Scotney Castle Roundabout. Take the exit signed for the castle, Lamberhurst and Frant (B2169). Within a few metres take the first left turn, signed for Frant (B2169). There is also a brown sign for The Brown Trout. Continue along this road until you reach a crossroads on the Down. Go straight over. You will see a white building ahead on the right which is The Vineyard pub. Down House is directly opposite the pub, on your left as the road bends. There are black wrought iron gates. Please press the call button for entry. Take the left fork down the drive to the car park.
BY TRAIN
Take Charing X / Hastings Train to Frant.
If you are taking the train, please contact your organiser to arrange for transport from Frant Station. Down House is four miles away from the station and there is no taxi service. Pick up is by prior arrangement as the phone signal at the station is poor.
